Students are placed in class according to their age and dance experience. Classes are 45 minutes each with the exception of our combo classes.
Preschool Ballet
(Ages 3–5)
Our Preschool Dance classes introduce young dancers to movement, rhythm, and imagination. Children will learn basic ballet steps, creative movement, skips, gallops, and how to participate in a group setting—like taking turns and waiting in line. It’s the perfect balance of structure and fun!
Ballet
(Grades K-5)
This class builds a foundation in ballet technique while keeping the environment joyful and stress-free. Dancers will learn ballet positions, basic steps, stretching, posture, and simple choreography.
TAP
(Grades K–12)
Tap classes focus on rhythm, musicality, and coordination through fun, percussive footwork. Students learn tap fundamentals—like shuffles, flaps, and time steps—while developing timing, listening skills, and precision. As dancers progress, they explore more intricate rhythms, footwork patterns, and performance quality. Tap builds confidence and sharpens musical awareness, all while letting dancers make some noise in a creative, structured way!
Ballet/Tap Combo
(Grades K–2nd)
1 hour class (30 min of each subject)
This combo class introduces young dancers to the beauty of ballet and the rhythm of tap—all in one fun-filled class! Students will learn basic ballet positions, simple steps, and graceful movements, along with beginner tap skills like shuffles, flaps, and rhythm games. The class builds coordination, musicality, and confidence while helping children learn to follow directions and express themselves through movement. It’s the perfect mix of structure and creativity for early elementary dancers!
Ballet / Tap / Jazz Combo
(Grades 1st-4th)
1.5 hour class (30 min of each subject)
Designed for young dancers ready to explore more than one style! This class covers foundational steps in ballet, tap, and jazz, developing rhythm, coordination, and flexibility. Students learn to follow choreography, memorize patterns, and express themselves through movement.
Jazz / Hip Hop
(Grades 3rd-12th)
This high-energy class blends the sharp, stylish movements of jazz with the upbeat, expressive style of hip hop. Dancers will build flexibility, strength, and coordination while learning fun combinations to age-appropriate music. Jazz technique introduces kicks, turns, and leaps, while hip hop brings out each dancer’s personality and rhythm. It’s the perfect class for students who love to move, groove, and perform with confidence!
Contemporary / Lyrical
(Grades 6-12)
Dancers explore emotional expression and storytelling through movement. Blending ballet, jazz, and modern techniques, this class helps students connect their movement to music while developing strength, control, and creativity.
Broadway Jazz
(Grades 6–12)
Step into the spotlight! This class combines jazz technique with theatrical performance skills inspired by classic and contemporary Broadway musicals. Dancers will learn expressive movement, character work, and storytelling through choreography set to show tunes. We focus on stage presence, musicality, and building confidence—all while having fun dancing like you're on a Broadway stage. Perfect for aspiring performers or anyone who loves the magic of musical theater!
Pointe
(Grades 6–12, by teacher recommendation only)
Pointe class is designed for experienced ballet students who have developed the strength, technique, and alignment required for dancing en pointe. Dancers must have prior ballet training and be approved by an instructor before beginning pointe work.
First-year pointe students will be carefully guided through a gradual transition into pointe shoes, focusing on proper conditioning, alignment, and technique to ensure safety and long-term success. This class builds strength, control, and artistry while honoring each dancer’s individual progress.
Technique
(Grades 3–12)
This non-performance class focuses on building the strength, flexibility, and control dancers need to improve their overall skills. Students will work on leaps, turns, kicks, and dance tricks, with targeted drills to enhance balance, alignment, and power. Exercises are designed to help dancers improve fouettés, jumps, extensions, and more. Whether you're preparing for the stage or just want to level up your technique, this class is a perfect addition to any dancer’s training!
Acro
(Grades 3–12)
Acro combines dance with athletic acrobatic elements to build strength, flexibility, and control. Dancers will learn inverted tricks, balances, partner lifts, and tumbling skills—all taught with a strong focus on safety and proper technique. Skills are taught progressively to match each dancer’s level.
Students have the option to perform an acro dance in the recital, showcasing what they’ve learned in a creative and exciting routine. Whether you're new to acro or looking to advance your skills, this class supports confident, well-rounded dancers.
POM
(Grades 3–8)
Pom is a high-energy dance style that blends jazz technique with sharp, synchronized movements and precision—performed with pom poms! Dancers will build strength, stamina, and teamwork while learning strong arm motions, clean lines, jumps, and formations. This class is perfect for students interested in dance team or cheer-style performance. Fun, fast-paced, and full of spirit, Pom helps dancers develop power, accuracy, and confidence on stage!
Mini Company
(Grades 3–5)
Our Mini Company is a competition-level team for dedicated dancers in grades 3–5. Dancers are selected by audition only and will perform one group routine at two competitions each season.
To be eligible, dancers must also be enrolled in Ballet, Jazz/Hip Hop, and Technique classes. Mini Company dancers work hard, grow as performers, and gain valuable teamwork experience in a supportive and focused environment.
Junior Company
(Grades 6–8)
Junior Company is a competitive team for dedicated dancers in grades 6–8 who are ready to take their skills to the next level. Selected by audition, Junior Company members perform two group routines and attend two competitions each season.
To be eligible, dancers must be enrolled in Lyrical/Contemporary or Pointe, Jazz/Hip Hop or Broadway Jazz, Technique, and Acro classes. This program focuses on skill development, artistry, and teamwork, providing a challenging yet supportive environment for motivated young dancers.
Senior Company
(Grades 9–12)
Senior Company is an elite competition team for advanced dancers in grades 9–12 who are committed to excellence and growth. Dancers are selected by audition and perform multiple group routines at two competitions throughout the season, showcasing a high level of technical skill, artistry, and performance quality.
To be eligible, dancers must be enrolled in Lyrical/Contemporary or Pointe, Jazz/Hip Hop or Broadway Jazz, Technique, and Acro classes. Senior Company offers rigorous training, performance opportunities, and fosters leadership and teamwork among its members.
Tryouts for the 2026–2027 season will be held May 26–27, 2026.
